Norina Cadili

Norina Cadili is the General Manager of the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, where she began her journey 2008 as a Front Desk Agent and grew through various roles at the JW before being promoted into the GM role.
Norina has always considered herself as coming from a hospitable culture. Her family owned a small Italian restaurant, where Norina tended to customers ever since she had the ability to speak. Her father, an immigrant from Sicily, was strong in his traditional roots and always believed men and women played specific roles in society. Growing up with three brothers, those roles were very clearly defined as she heard "NO" often while her brothers would hear "YES!" for the very same things. This did not sit well with Norina, and it created a drive that motivated her to break away from the traditional gender norms of her culture and prove to herself and her family that "YES! SHE CAN." That drive has continued as she has grown in a career that at one time, she did not think was possible.
Norina leads in her role with a few key principles:
A graduate in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University, Norina serves as the President of the Grand Rapids Chapter of Women in Hospitality Leadership and was recognized in Hospitality Magazine as 2022's GM to watch.

Norina leads in her role with a few key principles:
- "Clear is Kind" - Inspired by researcher Brené Brown, she believes that difficult conversations are part of leadership and not having them will fail both you and your team members.
- Be the energy you want to attract - Positivity attracts positivity.
- Focus on CAN vs CAN'T - People will thrive when you focus on the things they do well.
- Everything is "figureoutable" - Be solution driven. There is a solution for everything.
- Know your impact and then be intentional - Show up every day to make that impact!
