Three Blondes Brewing

Sisters Megan, Carrie, and Amanda own Three Blondes Brewing in South Haven, which opened in June 2018.
Born and raised in South Haven, they moved away after high school only to migrate back to the area years later to be closer to family. They never imagined they would put up their life savings to open a brewery and restaurant together in their hometown! One evening after a few beers at their parents’ house, Megan's ambitious husband Matt brought up the idea of opening a brewery based on all the best things they had seen (and drank!) at other places. The idea turned to research, research led to a robust business plan by Carrie (the CPA), and planning turned into a reality.
They were novices in the hospitality and brewing industry, but they came from a long line of entrepreneurs and understood the hard work and perseverance required to own a business. They were passionate about creating a place where family, friends, locals, and tourists could gather to experience exceptional beer with a creative and eclectic menu.
Along their journey, the sisters were amazed and thankful to find other restaurant and brewery owners who were happy to share their insights and connect them to valuable resources. The past 5 years haven’t always been easy. The pandemic especially tested their strength and resilience. However, they’ve learned that with determination, amazing staff, and a lot of hard work, they can make their dream of owning a successful brewery come to fruition.
