Shannon Haan Westblade was born for hospitality - literally.

Raised in her family's bed and breakfast, Haan's 1830 Inn, on Mackinac Island, Shannon continues a family legacy with her own flair.  Taking over as owner at just 27 years old in the face of her father's unexpected passing, Shannon, with her husband and two kids in tow, has taken the Bed and Breakfast from low-profile to premier. 

Fighting battles with the COVID pandemic and the patriarchy, Shannon's personal growth in the business has been as poignant as the business's growth itself. She is excited to share her passions for hospitality, authenticity, and gumption with the WIHL Community!
