Jean Lanfear
In her role as Vice President of Human Resources with Patton Wings, Inc., a franchisee of Buffalo Wild Wings, Jean oversees the Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Risk Management functions for this 108-unit Sports Bar chain with locations in 8 states.
The majority of Jean's career has been in the hospitality industry, beginning in the finance arena with Big Boy Restaurants, a 100 unit corporate franchise group, where she was a divisional controller. In 1994, the Clarence Thomas Trials put all corporate CEOs on high alert around the country as sexual harassment issues came to the forefront. Jean was appointed Executive VP Human Resources and assembled a Human Resources function for the company.
She later went to work for the Southeastern Michigan Pizza Hut franchisee as EVP Administration and Human Resources. In 2003, she briefly left the hospitality industry to pursue a business opportunity in the consumer products industry and after selling her business, she joined Patton Wings formerly JK&T Wings in 2014. Jean also owned and operated two of her own restaurant concepts together with her husband.
She currently serves on the Board and underwriting committees of the Foodservice Insurance Group, a member-based captive insurance solution and serves as the current Chairman of the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association.
Jean is a Michigan native, attended Oakland University and currently lives in New Baltimore, Michigan. In her spare time and as a great escape, Jean enjoys boating, golfing and Upland Hunting with her bird dogs, Abbey and Gracie.
